Commonwealth Peace and Reconciliation Network
This inter-disciplinary network explores truth-telling and reconciliation in a range of Commonwealth contexts. The ACU acknowledges the colonial legacy of the Commonwealth and the importance of truth and reconciliation processes in addressing colonial legacies and realising the Commonwealth’s modern vision.
This is an opportunity for Commonwealth universities who work in the field of peace, truth, justice and reconciliation to collaborate on research, teaching and learning, student and staff exchanges.
The aim is to connect and support researchers and professional staff across the Commonwealth, facilitating collaborations and sharing approaches to truth-telling and reconciliation in society and within universities themselves.
Areas of focus for the network will include:
- decolonising the curriculum
- equitable research partnerships
- ensuring that indigenous populations have a greater sense of inclusion and recognition within higher education
